And then the protocol is that the VM sets port[ 0 ] to 1, and then stops until the device sets the bit back to 0... Is that about right? 09:05:05 because as far as I could determine yesterday, the javascript canvas system never toggles the bit... so either my understanding's broken, or the canvas is only working as a side effect of something else retro is doing. 09:38:31 --- nick: tangentstorm -> tangentstorm-brb 09:54:25 tangentstorm-brb: that would be correct 09:55:05 actually, you have to toggle port[0] to 1, then invoke the wait instruction 10:16:54 @crc that is the opposite of what the docs say :) http://retroforth.org/docs/The_Ngaro_Virtual_Machine.html (under WAIT) 10:16:58 --- nick: tangentstorm-brb -> tangentstorm 10:18:16 Okay... So I'm thinking the retro code I typed myself got away without doing that extra step because the repl was doing it for me. That makes sense. 10:38:04 --- join: Mat2 (5b4085c5@gateway/web/freenode/ip.91.64.133.197) joined #retro 10:38:11 hi 11:32:29 --- quit: ChanServ (*.net *.split) 11:32:29 --- quit: SimonRC (*.net *.split) 11:32:30 --- quit: karswell (*.net *.split) 11:32:30 --- quit: ivan`` (*.net *.split) 11:32:31 --- quit: CIA-91 (*.net *.split) 11:32:31 --- quit: crc (*.net *.split) 11:32:31 --- quit: Mat2 (*.net *.split) 11:33:02 --- quit: tangentstorm (*.net *.split) 11:37:36 --- join: tangentstorm (~michal.wa@108-218-151-22.lightspeed.rcsntx.sbcglobal.net) joined #retro 11:37:36 --- join: Mat2 (5b4085c5@gateway/web/freenode/ip.91.64.133.197) joined #retro 11:37:36 --- join: SimonRC (~sc@fof.durge.org) joined #retro 11:37:36 --- join: karswell (~coat@93-97-29-243.zone5.bethere.co.uk) joined #retro 11:37:36 --- join: ChanServ (ChanServ@services.) joined #retro 11:37:36 --- join: ivan`` (~ivan@unaffiliated/ivan/x-000001) joined #retro 11:37:36 --- join: CIA-91 (~CIA@cia.atheme.org) joined #retro 11:37:36 --- join: crc (~crc@li125-93.members.linode.com) joined #retro 11:37:36 --- mode: wolfe.freenode.net set +oo ChanServ crc 11:39:22 . 11:39:31 --- quit: karswell (Remote host closed the connection) 11:40:34 --- quit: Mat2 (Quit: Page closed) 11:49:45 --- join: karswell (~coat@93-97-29-243.zone5.bethere.co.uk) joined #retro 12:16:43 --- join: Sgeo__ (~Sgeo@ool-ad034d00.dyn.optonline.net) joined #retro 12:17:22 What's the difference between retroforth.com and rx-core.org ? 12:42:30 spelling? :) 12:44:22 well, guys i'm basically out of time for building a new forth from scratch, so.... 12:45:10 I'm making a game in retroforth for a 48-hour game jam this weekend. 12:46:28 And... Do you have a wishlist? 16:37:41 I'd love to see someone finish the lua and java implementations 16:38:15 there's a ton of interest in Love2D for lua.. i think it would be an easy sell 16:39:07 I exhausted my knowledge of lua getting it this far. a shame really, as it has some good potential 16:39:52 and the java is pretty ancient, and harks back to the earliest java releases. I've not done anything significant since the JDK 1.02 days 16:40:36 i have a java game lib at http://gamesketchlib.org/ ... one of my goals is to try and make it work with ngaro 17:29:22 --- join: arescorpio (~arescorpi@222-206-17-190.fibertel.com.ar) joined #retro 21:18:25 --- quit: Kumul (Quit: gone) 21:38:04 --- nick: tangentstorm -> tangentstorm-asl 21:38:11 --- nick: tangentstorm-asl -> tangentstorm-bbl 21:38:16 --- nick: tangentstorm-bbl -> tangentstorm-afk 21:43:21 --- quit: arescorpio (Read error: Connection reset by peer) 23:59:59 --- log: ended retro/12.08.03
