For browsers, I can confirm that it works properly in FireFox 2.x, 3.x, Opera 9.5, Minimo, the Mozilla ActiveX control, and Safari (both Windows and the version on the iPhone). It does not support Internet Explorer 6, 7, or 8 due to the crappy JavaScript interpreters Microsoft uses. 17:26:11 There's a also an unofficial build (code is in the retro-experimental repo) that supports cell phones with a J2ME implementation on them. I haven't tested this personally, as my cell phone is a cheap prepaid unit :) 17:51:05 I can't seem to find a data cable for mine, though I've not made a thorough search. 17:51:11 I'm glad to see this list. 17:51:20 This is very impressive. 17:52:19 Man works basically solo for the most part, people help here and there... He builds an aplication himself and with-in a year an upgrade for several parts of the system is ready to run on the worlds machines. 17:52:55 I mean all the worlds modern, most used, most popular devices. 17:54:16 I'm shocked that you are not being currently supported by some user community. 17:54:53 I mean financially, not just morally or with assistance in coding and implementation. 17:55:29 I'm certain that a software company could be constructed around this current work. 17:55:48 A software company interested in having there product run on everything. 17:55:52 Games come to mind. 17:56:04 their even. 17:56:28 Personal data assistance with compatable transfer to everything comes to mind. 17:57:05 Especially if you'd like to automate such transfer with bluetooth devices. 17:57:56 You come in proximity of your system, say your phone pda automaticially syncs all of your other devices over the net when you are not using the phone. 17:59:09 Keeps an automatic gps map of your day, sent to your organizing software that is based on using the gps data and "real" objects on the screen so you can plan. 17:59:34 lol a paper version would be the folendar :) 19:29:17 --- join: nighty__ (n=nighty@210.188.173.246) joined #retro 20:00:29 regarding retro, I have had some advantages (specifically, I've been working on retro since retro2 (1999), so I've had a lot of time to explore false starts and dead ends) 20:01:30 retro10 is basically a clean start, using what I learned along the way, but with a new implementation that I know inside out. Nothing earth-shaking, but it works very well for me. 20:02:31 (my ideal user community would be 5-10 people, all of whom would eventually fork retro and take it in many directions, with new people taking their places over time) 23:59:59 --- log: ended retro/08.07.02
