Subj : Duskbloods will soon get closed test To : All From : Blue White Date : Wed Jun 10 2026 08:06:02 Hold out for a little longer FromSoft fans The Duskbloods will get a closed network test this summer, but a release date for the full game has yet to be announced Date: Tue, 09 Jun 2026 16:55:38 +0000 A brand new trailer for FromSoftware's next game, The Duskbloods, has been revealed, alongside a release window for a closed network test. Today's 50-minute Nintendo Direct was chock-full of game reveals and trailers, and among them was a fresh teaser for The Duskbloods . Unfortunately, the renowned Elden Ring and Bloodborne developer didn't share a release date to go alongside it, but it did confirm that a closed network test will be available in "summer 2026" for Switch 2 . It's been one year since the Switch 2-exclusive was announced , and it is disappointing that there's still no launch window or gameplay trailer. However, with the closed network test coming soon, a release date announcement could arrive before the year is up. A closed network test for Elden Ring Nightreign , the cooperative multiplayer experience that launched in May last year, was announced in December 2024, and registration opened a month later. The following month, the game received an official release date, so here's hoping The Duskbloods will get a similar treatment. "Step into this new PvPvE multiplayer action game from FromSoftware, where you take on the role of a Bloodsworn. Fight through a world overrun with enemies using unique weapons and abilities, while occasionally forming transient alliances on your path to victory," the latest game description reads. In an interview following the game's reveal last year, director Hidetaka Miyazaki said that The Duskbloods was originally being developed as a Switch game. The developer said the multiplayer game was being made by a small team for the Switch before it eventually shifted to being developed for the Switch 2, allowing the studio to take advantage of the console's new hardware . "A while back, we had the opportunity to meet with Nintendo to discuss ideas, and during this discussion, we presented a rough outline for The Duskbloods ," Miyazaki said. "It was still very bare-bones at the timemore a loose string of ideas than a proper presentation. The concept itself was different from anything we had done before, and Nintendo seemed very interested in helping make it a reality. So thats when the project kicked off."
