I watched a couple of episodes of the early 1950's TV series "Tales of
Tomorrow" on youtube last night.  Both of them had familiar titles.

 *** WARNING - Potential SPOILERS!!! ***

The first one was called "The Little Black Bag."  Sure enough, it was a
"pre-telling" of the Night Gallery episode of the same name.  In the Night
Gallery, the bag is found by a drunk bum (and former doctor) while in the
company of another bum who ultimately attempts to take advantage of the
find.  In the NG episode, the bag was sent into the past in error.

In the ToT episode, the bag is "found" by a down-on-his-luck doctor who
trades his doctor's bag for it, and some money, at a pawn shop.  In this
story, it is his greedy wife who attempts to take advantage, and how the
bag was transported into the past is not certain.  In both episodes, the
finder suffers at the hands of the greedy friend/mate, who untimately meets
their own fate (in slightly different ways) after the contents of the bag are
disabled.

The second one was called "All the Time in the World," which I thought
might just be a "pre-telling" of the Twilight Zone episode "Time Enough at
Last."  It was not exactly.  Both stories begin with references to new
atomic weapons in newspaper headlines, and both end with a cruel twist that
leave a character wondering how they will spend "their" time.  However,
they are mostly different stories.

The ToT episode probably has more in common with the TZ episode "A Different
Kind of Stop Watch" as both of these stories involve someone who is given a
device to freeze or alter the passage of time and, like "Time Enough At
Last," there is that same cruel twist at the end.

If you like old sci-fi TV, I would recommend searching for both on youtube.
 Bear in mind that Tales of Tomorrow was performed live on TV in the early
1950's so the picture quality is no where near today's standards (or even
early 1960's standards).  Also, if you are searching for "All the Time in
the World," at least one result is actually a mis-titled copy of another
episode called "Miracle Serum."  If you find that one, try again.  :)
