Watched the 1930's movie, "Island of Lost Souls" that aired on TCM
yesterday.  It is a retelling of the story, The Island of Dr. Moreau, by
H.G. Wells.

It is a good movie, not too long (~67 minutes).  The early parts are pretty
true to the book.  It strays some, presumably to save time and to introduce
female characters, once they reach the island.  I was pretty impressed by
how they "animalized" the human actors to play Moreau's creations.  They
all mostly looked like wolf-men, mind you, but they were done up good
enough that I did not even realize that Bela Lugosi played one of them
until I saw his name in the credits at the end. :)

Good sci-fi / suspense movie, probably even more so if you are not familiar
with how the original story ends.
