The 1942 action/spy film Invisible Agent.  Inspired by the 1897 H. G. Wells novel, The Invisible Man, this story features the grandson of the original Invisible Man.  After a threatening encounter with Axis agents, he uses his grandfather's secret formula to become a spy for the Allies.

Jon Hall plays the title character, while Peter Lorre plays one of the Axis agents.  

A bit of trivia... Claude Rains started as the title character in the 1933 movie adaptation of The Invisible Man.  Both he and Lorre would star in the 1942 classic "Casablanca."
