I decided to explore the possibility to pursue my notebook
to think it's a mainframe. I admit I've no previous experience
with mainframes. So please take this as a light exercise for fun in
the area of retro-computing voyage.

I'm currently on Ubuntu Linux. For the sake of simplicity I skipped
the path of compiling everything from scratch. And there were just
several simple commands that brought the emulator together with
GUI to life.

I used following commands: 

apt-get install hercules herculesstudio c3270.

At the first try I just ran the herculesstudio as root and prepared a simple
mainframe with one device - the terminal. Then just ran the machine.

And connected to localhost:3270 using the c3270 (Mainframe connect emulator).

Something like this was the result:
