Were the Apple II, Atari, etc. PLATO packages terminal-based? James, your name is familiar. On AtariAge? I've been trying to place your name as to either a caller of my BBS, the TI-99/4A Yahoogroup, AtariAge, or maybe just here on the Retronet. I know the TI 99/4A had their standalone PLATO courseware. I did have an agreement with the owners of the PLATO software to legally distribute the Plato diskettes online for a period of 10 years. That timeframe has since elapsed by three or four years if I am not mistaken. I just came across that paperwork this past week. For people with young children, the PLATO courseware is a good way to introduce them to a computer with some education software.
