Try just stimulating your tear-ducts with a modest ritual of  
cloth soaked in hot/warm water and placed over the eyes for a  
few extended second ..and repeat a few times.  I was using the  
systane stuff for a while, but later learned that the cloth  
method was better and actually reduced my dependancy on the  
chemical drops.
