I find it ironic that the Cult of SpaceX is only now deciding to bring up a failure in the overall mission, when they have traiditionaly been the same group that has quite literally cared more about booster landing and reuse than any element of mission success in an of itself.

Additionaly, comments seen elsewhere online regarding the booster reuse and landing success have the typical, downright childish "yeah but spacex did it first" or "they copied spacex" comments, as if the landing a whole booster isn't the most obvious idea for reusing launch hardware, and especially as if it wasn't an idea that was being postulated since before spaceflight was even an actual thing happening!

The childish hypocricy.... always gets me.
