Yes, that sounds even worse than I thought. Bad enough that she
needs her mother's support but it doesn't sound like she's at all
grateful for it.  I guess some people are just like that..

I spent a lot of time with my parents in the last several years
of their life helping with mental issues with my father and a
lot of health issues with my mother, but both lived into their
90's so you expect some issues by that age. I was able to do
enough to help my mother care for my father in the house until
the hospital stepped in after a minor accident (fall) and said
it wasn't safe for us to look after him ourselves anymore, and
then I was able to help mom stay in her own home right to the end,
which was very important to her..

Kids are supposed to help their parents as they age, not become
a problem for them..
