It does, and I would be very carefull about letting anything else mess with
your SMB message bases. I'm not aware of any other apps that support it,
aside from golded+ for reading/writing messages.

Do you want to netmail your coordinator? Use the email area and send a
message to someone@1:111/111, use their address of course.

I wouldn't do that. Synchronet has it's own (SMB) message base format so I
wouldn't use anything but Synchronet tools with it.
