Subj : Kodu anyone? To : All From : art Date : Fri May 20 2011 14:07:00 Hey all, Anyone heard of Kodu? http://fuse.microsoft.com/project/kodu.aspx And I quote from their webpage: "Kodu provides an end-to-end creative environment for designing, building, and playing your own new games. The core of the Kodu project is the programming user interface. The language is simple and entirely icon-based. Programs are composed of pages, which are broken down into rules, which are further divided into conditions and actions. Conditions are evaluated simultaneously." It compiles for Windows and XBox 360. I cannot find any type of TCP or Socket information at all, which leads me to believe there is no networking capability (a real downer IMO). I just found out about Kodu, but I'm wondering if anyone (or their kids) have used Kodu? What do you think? Anyone who hasn't used it--likewise, what do you think? Personally, I'm glad kids have something to learn with like Kodu. I remember when they taught us TURTLE... this just seems much better. Hope I get a chance to play with it soon!
