After reading the explanations, I see a big bird's head, with eye and
flamingo-like beak looking to the left. 

OR,

a small parrot-like bird's head, with a humungous beak and a stripe down
the neck looking to the right.

OR,

(if I really squint) a bearded man's head, face up with an agonized
scream of death forever emblazoned on his face.


It was the third one that I thought Krogg had in mind when he said it
was feeding time for birds.
