It's some kind of MUD-MOO stuff. Sort of like IRC in a way, except you can also connect to stuff like University Libraries, ect.. They play Dungeons and Dragons, or some other role-playing games on-line. If you make or post ascii for these MUD people, that's what they do with it. I'd been wondering what these MUD requests were about... Anyway, they steal ascii, like mIRC people do. If you search around this guy's site, you will find a newsgroup section (not usenet newsgroups) where --- I guess --- they run newsletters to participants, ect.. List of people that can be emailed to, informing them that "Grumps" steals all his nice pictures. For whatever good it will do.... and I reckon that's none at all, since they probably all do it and don't care. Since it's not really an ascii site, folks ought to remove it from links, anyway. And folks ought to know better than fulfill MUD or IRC requests, if they're going to get bruised feelings about stolen ascii. That's what most of those people do with it; claim it for their own, to "impress" each other. I doubt complaining to the host of this site is going to do any good. Looks like this fellow is a Proff at the University that hosts it. I doubt the Univ. will do anything about it (if what I presume about this is correct). ON THE OTHER HAND ---- perhaps writing to the hosting university about their staff stealing intellectual property on the internet, just might cause him enough embarassment to pull it off. But, as we all know, if posting ascie is kind of like throwing it to the wind. There's no telling where it will turn up, or what it will look like a day later. JRO
