 Yes, you rat, you stole it off me :-> but I don't really mind(much) 

 The original was itself also partly derivative; 1-line mice
 have been around for a log time,  especially in plan view     <:3_>---
 and the cat stalking behind a wall is similar [though the
 original is not a one-liner] to a Mike Rosulek drawing.

 P.S. I get flamed by purists because the eyes are not true ascii,
 but I find @@ or 00 or whatever doesn't give the right look.
