That's fantastic!  Though it would have been nice if you'd mentioned
that it depends on line wrapping and requires that the viewer set
their xterm/whatever to 80 characters wide, exactly

I copied it into an editor and the ascii dissapeared; when I added
newlines, it still looks ok [though not as great as the colored v.]
