I've found that it is *very* easy to snip initials
when they are on the right side of the pic ...
people just highlight behind the sig to get the pic.   For that reason, I
usually sign the pics to
 the left of the image.   If people are going to
strip initials, they will have to make a conscious
effort to do so.

Anyhow, that's my figuring...
