Well, you ought to give it a try on your own... not just copying pics
that other people have made.  There are several tutorials and
FAQ's available.  Read them-- they are posted here regularly.

The Cheshire smile cowboy was made by me (the face) and
Colin Douthwaite (the hat and body)... Colin put it together.
Your friend may not have had initials/signatures with the
pic when he passed it along.  It is common courtesy to leave
them on and give credit to the creators.  ASCII art does
follow internet copyright laws and you should respect that.
