I didn't think that that was a question... there are many
 websites which display ASCII art in HTML format...

And my ASCII art website  has been up for over 2 years...
the ASCII art is on html pages-- and yes, I used the
preformat html tags...

(BTW, I'm a Netscape Netcenter Site of the Day, today!)  :)
 Lots of people are being turned onto ASCII art this very moment!
