They wake you up in the morning as efficiently as any alarm clock (and
unlike alarm clocks they can't be turned off too easily), they get rid
of the mice that otherwise invade your home, they don't need the
constant attention and fuzzying that a dog needs, they are grown-up and
take care of themselves most of the time (unlike dogs, who remain babies
all their lives, I mean, dogs can't even go to the toilet without your
help...), they are amusing, they are friendly, etc etc
