?? In all MSIE3 versions I saw these tags did the job! (MSIE3 and MSIE3.02)
Are you sure you don't have MSIE's Javascript animation problem in mind.?.

This way your HTML script works fine in Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0
(version 4.71.1712.6) too. I surely hope Ilmari is still around; he/she is
just the right person to enlighten us.
