Well first, it`s a BMP2ASC converter, so no it won`t do GIF89a. <g>
It`s user friendly though, it`s a windows program with a nice simple
interface. However, look at the output:

Not neccesarily... It`s the artist that`s ultimately skilled, not the
software he/she uses. Remember the undisputed queen of ascii art uses one of
the crappest text editors in the world... it won`t even let you
right-cursorkey along blank lines unless you fill them with spaces!

I`m gonna stick with TextPad. <g>
