Is it just me, or is Colin getting more and more irritable as time goes
on? Anything seems to annoy him ...

Perhaps, Colin, you should go on a holiday to some Pacific Island
without Internet access for five years or so. When you come back, we'll
all be using Linux, so a '486 will be good enough for anyone ... and you
won't have nearly as many problems running your beloved shell commands
either ...
