I want to start an organization, a foundation that could show the world how much good the Internet can do, but I need your help with it. All too often we hear about the negative aspects of the Internet, but we all know it is really quite a good thing and that it has the potential to do far more good for mankind than any other form of media has ever done before. My idea is to get a little money (just a buck) from everybody on the Internet, form a foundation with it and use the money for good causes. The "good causes" would also be chosen by you and others on the Internet. Everyone of us knows someone in need. Perhaps it's you, or a neighbor or a friend, or just someone you heard about. Whenever I see or hear of someone in need my first thought is often, how nice it would be if I had the resources to help them. If you know someone who needs some help, a person or organization you know or someone you've read about; email or snail mail me a note or a newspaper clipping to let me know (the more information you can give, the better) about it. Tell me why you think help is really needed. I'll post it on my Web site (http://www.dwave.net/~morgan/foundation.html) and ask for a show of hands (or a show of modems, if you will). If enough other people think the cause is truly needy, we'll do something about it. All I'm asking is that you to put as little as $1 in the mail (more if you'd like) to help get this thing off the ground. send it to: INF (InterNet Foundation), 711 Townline Road, Wausau, WI 54403. I'll post a daily total of the amount received at my Web site http://www.dwave.net/~morgan/foundation.html as well as information about the causes people have suggested. Finally, I apologize if I've offended you in any way. I know this posting may not seem appropriate on many of the newsgroups I'm sending it to. I'm checking as many as I can, but with over 5,000 of them it takes some time. I'm trying to keep this short to conserve bandwith. For more information either email me at inf@iname.com or check out the Web site at: http://www.dwave.net/~morgan/foundation.html Thank you Bob Terranova
