Hi Dutch Dude... I am going to be brutally honest. You are making a threat like a spoiled child. "If no one makes use of my art, I might move on." Personally I love ascii art and I enjoy fishing through all the different offerings. I am not a graphic artist and I don't pretend to be a critic, but nothing you have offered so far has been particularly noteworthy. I'm sorry you're not getting the response you were waiting for, artists do art because they love it not because they expect a certain response. If I asked for a particular picture (which I don't) I would extend not only my thanks, but some kind of service in exchange for time and energy involved. Quid pro quo. However when I do my sculpture I do it because I enjoy it and it gives me satisfaction. I believe that it is because of that personal enjoyment that my work is recognized and sold. Much of the work here is extraordinary and humorous. It is like a visual form of haiku, full of subtlety and style. Honestly your work rarely reaches that level. Perhaps it is because you are too concerned with the response? I know that many will probably disagree with me and normally I would keep my mouth shut, but the tone of "If you won't play my way, I'll take my ball and go home" was silly enough to require a response. Focus on the work and not the audience. E.
