Normally you can't put that much emotions in ASCII but in this case it's quite the opposite. I don't think I've ever seen anybody else do it but then again, how much ASCII sites have I looked at? Actually, I heard from Flump that somebody had requested a robot and it seemed to me that a robot would be easy to do. After all, a robot has got little to no curves and those are the hardest to do in ASCII (or so I thought). But when I started working on it I found it pretty hard to make a decent looking robot. I'm certainly not saying this is a decent one but hey, it's my second attempt at doing ASCII :-). It is inspired on a t-shirt that I got. I bought the t-shirt many years ago and it's been a big hit. It was only logical for me to try and get it in ASCII. It's a bit big (read: not sig-sized) but at least the eyes have come out OK and that's what counts. I added the helmet and alien t-shirt later on for added effects later on. I don't know if you can tell but the plane itself is supposed to have a face. In the early days of the Amiga a now famous gfx artist made a series of aerotoons that had planes with faces in them. That's where I got the idea from.
